Comment: My children have been through the entire set. We used them as oral readers and learned much from this classical study approach. My children really had some good times comparing today to the yester-years. Timeless!
Comment: I do think these work pretty well, for a typical student. We used the free computer versions of these and it has taught my typical learner how to read well, but for kids who need more instruction with phonics, or rule, or memorizing sight words you will need more then just these books.
Comment: We received these books as a gift. They are one of several reader sets that we own and use. I like that they use good literature and poetry in the higher books. They aren't dramatically better or worse than any other reader set, but are a good, solid reading curriculum.
