Comment: Used America the Beautiful last year and are currently using Uncle Sam and You. We LOVE them. My kids seem to be able to retain what they've learned far better than anything we've used thus far. Really impressed by the color photos, especially in Uncle Sam and You. I would recommend Notgrass to anyone who's looking for a solid and beautiful history program.

Comment: We are currently using America the Beautiful and we love it! My middle schooler finds the text easy to read and very straight forward. She loves working on the maps and timeline but, more than anything we love the accompanying literature selections! The book choices are fantastic and they really solidify the lesson; she's able to get a full grasp of what America was like during that specific time period.

Comment: We have used "America the Beautiful" and "Adam to Us." These are marketed to middle school. We love these books. The books are so rich and colorful. The review books are such a good resource and the map book is awesome. I love that the map assignments are listed by lesson and easy to follow. We have used these book for all four of our children at once. I have expected more retention from our oldest who is 12 but our 7 year old follow right along. The readers are interesting. Last year my kids exclaimed that history was their favorite subject, which is strange to me because growing up, it was one of my least favorites. Perhaps if I had these books I would have felt differently. I feel like my kids have learned so much and did not tire of the books. We have both read it together and sometimes the kids read it on their own. I recommend them to anyone.

Comment: We are currently using America the Beautiful and love it! Using it with my 4th, 6th and 7th grader. It's very easy to use and is easily adjusted to fit the work level for each child. It is colorful, engaging, and my kids are really enjoying it! It's so nice for me to be able to use one curriculum for all grades.

Comment: I love Notgrass! The books are beautiful and informative. The map work is great too. The prices are expensive but very worth it. Use each component of the program and you will love it!

Comment: I'm using America the Beautiful this year with my 4th & 7th graders. I really enjoy being able to combine this subject for both their grades. I like the Christian perspective & the great illustrations. This curriculum is more pricey than what a typically like to spend, but I think it's worth it. I was blessed with being given most of the books for this set, but I'm planning on buying Uncle Sam & Me next year. History is a subject I've always enjoyed & am continuing to learn new things with this curriculum.

Comment: We used the high school World History. You can earn up to three credits: History, English and Bible. My daughter only did the work for the History and Bible as I didn't really like the English assignments. I love the Biblical worldview and the fact that it is so easy to use, however, we didn't care for the writing style. We found it to be a little dry.

Comment: Love the layout and concept-Christian worldview, history, geography, biography, writing, literature all wrapped up into one package for about $100 for the year. however, my kids did not enjoy the writing style of the textbook. The pictures are beautiful and the information included is great, but reading it (silently in their own or out loud by me) was dry. I've heard many others who love it, so maybe my kids are unique. They prefer the writing of Story of the World or living books from the library.
