Ellen McHenry Science came about when Ellen McHenry taught science to 3rd grade – 8th grade homeschoolers.  The books contain lots of hands-on activities.  Elements, Carbon Chemistry, Brain, Botany, and Cells are the different studies that she has available.  Read more about them on Ellen McHenry’s website.

Comment: We LOVE this curriculum for our 4th and 6th grader. So many hands-on ideas, and the text is funny and engaging. It really helps my kids connect to the concepts, explaining it in a way that makes them understand, yet not dumbing it down. If they are too old, this may seem too juvenile, but I think it's perfect for the ages it is meant for: ages 8-13.
